Call for Submissions: Impressions of Post-Election America

We are looking for your opinions and viewpoints on America post 9/11/2016 as it prepares for a president who stated, “We have some bad hombres here and we’re going to get them out.” President-elect Trump had promised in the election season to deport all undocumented immigrants, start a “Muslim registry”, and, perhaps his unofficial campaign slogan, build a wall.

What does America—the so-called Land of Immigrants whose landmark Statue of Liberty, itself French, boasts hospitality toward migrants—feel like today? How did America get here, and where will it go?

We are open to hearing your ideas and welcome a variety of formats (see our submissions page for general guidelines).

Send us your pitches by midnight 31 December 2016 to with the subject “Call for Submissions: Post-Election America”.
